Safi Connection albums for free!

As a tribute to the supporting fans over 7 years Safi Connection released his two studio albums Shout Aluma and Figga Nigga for free! This is well produced Psytrance with enough Goa-vibes for me to like it. Say thanks over at last.fm and download the albums from the links below. Quality is 320kbps mp3.

Spectralite (Ethnic Psychill)

Sometimes Myspace is really something worth visiting. Rarely, but … well sometimes. Thanks fo this post at isratrance I discovered the beautiful music of Spectralite. These guys make some kind of ethnic psychill. I’m not really into that genre anymore but I think if you like Entheogenic, Amaruvision, Kaya Project, Makyo, etc. then you might want to give this a try. I renamed and tagged the files. Bitrate seems to be V2 (~160) or a bit lower.
Spectralite - Forest
Spectralite - Ocean
Spectralite - Valley of the Phoenix
Listen to the tunes at http://www.myspace.com/spectralite (there is even a track more)

In other news: Asura’s new Life² just started pre-orders. Yay, I already ordered. :)

Comments and critics are very welcome, I hope you like it.

Quantica - Astrobiology and Psycoactive

Quantica - Astrobiology
New Goatrance is rare to find nowadays, most Psy releases are 4/4 Psytrance-crap or Proggressive Psytrance. So I was very happy when I stumbled over this act from Ibiza.
You can download two free albums via Jamendo or listen in the Jamendo player.
Quantica - Astrobiology
Quantica - Psycoactive
I have not spent much time with these, but they sounded very nice so far. I love the relaxed Brand New System.

LAJ - Recent Ambient and Drones Compilation (May 8, 2007)

A compilation of some favorite recent drones and ambient from various netlabels and open source audio uploads.

http://www.archive.org/details/Recent_Ambient_and_Drones_LAJ
I listened to this yesterday evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. The mix starts with some relaxed guitar play but then drifts into deep droning ambient. The quality is rather low but I did not notice. Be aware that this is free music and you can loads of more just by following the artist’s links!

(I wanted to embed the flash player but wordpress always removed it…)

VA - Next Destination - Tribute To Zolod

00_-_cover.jpg

This compilation is a tribute to Viktor Zolodarenko aka Parasense/Terminator/Freaking/Big Noise/Burned Processor/Fabrique. The purpose of this CD is to give honor to one of the biggest artists in our scene. An artist who with his music inspired many of us and showed us the road. When you will listen to this compilation think of Zolod and send your prayers for peace to his soul. Big thanks to all artists who made this compilation possible!!

SHORT MAGIC MOMENT
OF THE DUSK AND DOWN SHADOWS
JUST WAKE YOUR DEEPER FEELING
OF BEAUTY. SO, KEEP IT LONGER!

01 - Capsula - Dendreamers & Dreamers
02 - Phobosphere - Aelita
03 - Ocelot - Echoes - Of Silence
04 - Yudhisthira - Next Destination
05 - Atriohm - Furia
06 - Big Noise - Free Space
07 - Encephalopaticys - Master
08 - Para Halu - A Week Of Sundays
09 - Mindex - Meditation

And last but not least there is a 320kbps MP3 scene release floating around in the web: VA_-_Next_Destination_-_Tribute_To_Zolod-2007-MUS

I suggest leaving the WAV files as they are untagged and much bigger than FLAC. FLAC is lossless too.
The music quality is astonishing. Many if not all of the artists were booked for retail compilations earlier, Capsula, Ocelot and Para Halu are “names” in the Psy Chill scene. If this wasn’t free I would probably buy it for the Atriohm - Furia track alone. Finest Chill Goa.

Jon Hallur (RealX) - EVE Online OST

eve_download_music.jpg
I just discovered one can download the Soundtrack of EVE Online.

EVE is a massive multiplayer online game (MMOG) set in a science-fiction based, persistent world. Players take the role of spaceship pilots seeking fame, fortune, and adventure in a huge, complex, exciting, and sometimes hostile galaxy.

I really cannot suggest you start playing this game as I bet it would be time-sucking and addicting. The soundtracks seems to be very nice spacey Ambient. I played the first few tracks so far and love them. They are only 128kbps mp3 but at least they are tagged properly. ;)

AmBeam - Moonraker 2005

An epic chill goa piece by AmBeam that would easily fit onto a commercial release. It reminded me of Electric Universe - Jetzt (from their Unify album and on Global Psychedelic Trance Compilation Vol. 7 which I bought just for that track…), I couldn’t find samples for that one. Things like this always make me start a mix but then I always keep abandoning them. :(

I have not tried all the other tracks by AmBeam yet, but they seem to be of similar good quality. There seem to be a bit more/other tracks in here compared to the CTGMusic page. Please tell me if you find another gem like this.

AmBeam - Moonraker 2005 (16 Minutes and 17MB, apparently ogg -q5)

Consonance - Dreamtime Moai Remix

One of my favorite deep and warm, “ethnic” free Ambient tracks: Consonance - Dreamtime (Moai Remix) is meditative chilliciousness. Don’t miss the two other Chillout tracks: Moai - Mushroom Moai - Crystal Elixir (this one is nice dubby Psy).
And for the Goa/Psy lovers, there are even more free tracks at http://moai.se/music.php.

Les vs. Michael Hartman - Les3 [top25]

Oops, long time no update. Sorry.

Here is some dark droning Ambient.
Not to sleep to but nice as ambience for playing evil games like Quake.
